**If you’re new to RSD, please read:

—certain items seem to be heavily allocated this year (meaning we may have ordered 25 of something and only get 3) , so checking our list of quantities when we post it will help you plan your day …

—please don’t ask us when to line up. We’ve had years when people get out there at midnight, and years where they start at 6 am. It’s different every year, but yes there WILL be a line.

— all items are limited , so we have to set limit to ONE of each title per customer (meaning you can grab as many different titles that you’d like, but you can’t grab 3 of same title… it’s not fair to those in line behind you). You’re welcome to get back in line if you want to purchase multiples, and if any are left as line circles through, that is fine.

—if you’re looking to purchase over the phone, we are not taking phone orders until line is over with. We need to make it fair to everyone that came and stood in line!

—there are no holds or early purchasing for RSD so please don’t even ask 🥹

—in the morning when we open, we will let one-two people in at a time so we can ensure they get what they came for. This moves pretty fast, and we’ve found works better than a mad rush as soon as the doors open.

—we can’t control what goes on down on South Street at night while we’re not there, but we do alert the police beforehand to make sure they know to keep an eye on our corner while customers are standing outside

— this year we will have a food truck and baked goods from @thechillybanana and @softbellycookies setting up first thing in morning… we also have Spread Bagel, Three Graces, Lombard Cafe, Federal Donuts all within a block of us that open pretty early in the morning.

Everyone’s favorite day of the year, REX MANNING DAY (if you don’t get it, please watch the movie Empire Records and then you will get it). This year it falls on Saturday April 6th. The main event will take place on 4th and South down in front of South Street Art Mart and Milkboy. There will be live music, food, giveaways, and many photo opps. We will be spinning 90’s classics all day at Repo, with specials, discounts, and much more.

Support small businesses on South Street by coming out and doing your holiday shopping in person!

**We will have Pink Bike Ralph, purveyor of shirts like “Philadelphia where the weak are killed and eaten” and beer koozies like “311 was an inside job” here from 1-4 pm with a table of tees/posters/mugs/stickers to buy directly from him (normally online only).

**We will be dropping our Repo “Year end” best sellers and favorites lists also this weekend.

Join us for our annual Black Friday mini Record Store Day event. This year we will be opening at 9 am and will have a bunch of limited edition Black Friday exclusives (full list with quantities will be posted on our Instagram 11/21/23 ) or you could jump to this blog post!

Join us for an early listening of Sufjan Steven’s new album “Javelin” 3 days before release date! Attendees will be able to PURCHASE THE ALBUM AND TAKE HOME at the event 3 whole days early (while supplies last).

WHAT: This is a listening event for the new album (Sufjan Stevens will not be in attendence). You will be able to listen/browse/shop/hang out while we play the entire album. There will be limited giveaways for the fans, and they can choose to purchase the album at the event if desired.

Join us on Tuesday Sept 19th at 5 pm to hear the new Slaughter Beach Dog album a few days before release date. YOU WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO PURCHASE THE PHYSICAL ALBUM AT THE LISTENING EVENT AND TAKE HOME!! (this doesn’t happen often). Jake Ewald will also be hanging out to sign records after the album plays :) This is an all-ages event.

WHO: Slaughter Beach Dog (a beloved Philadelphia area band/ side project related to Modern Baseball)

WHEN: Tuesday September 19th at 5 pm

WHY: Celebrating the release of their new album that drops Friday 9/22

HOW: Pre-order through our website of the new album ‘Crying, Laughing, Waving, Smiling’ is required for priority entrance. This is a limited capacity event so pre-ordering is highly recommended! There will be some giveaways and you will be able to bring your signed copy of the LP home with you this night.

Join us to hear Mitski’s upcoming album “The Land is Inhospitable and So Are We” 2 days before release date!

WHAT: A listening event happening at select stores across the country. Attendees will be able to listen to the entire album early while they shop/browse/hang out. The new album will be available to pre-order for pick up on release date.

WHEN: September 13th (Wednesday) at 4 pm

WHO: Mitski (beloved singer-songwriter dropping her 7th album) NOTE: Mitski is not actually in attendence at this event, this is solely to listen to the new album.

HOW: Entry will be first come first served until if/when we hit capacity. There will be some giveaways which we will announce on our instagram before the event. Line up out front of the store and we will let attendees in at 4 pm.

In case you miss the event at 4 pm, we will replay the album in the store after first crowd of people clears out so others can listen while they shop.

BONUS: It happens to be the South Street food truck block party on the block of 5th to 6th street (our block) that night from 5-9 pm, so after the party you will be able to chill on South Street, shop, eat, and be entertained!
